We know how frustrating it is when your laminator, guillotine, fastback binder or shredder is broken and you need to get it fixed. We always try to go the extra mile for our machine repairs, here is just some of the ways in which we do this!
Cleaning:
If we have to repair a lamiantor we will always ensure that any loose bits of paper or laminating pouch is removed, even if that is not the main repair it is to ensure it goes back to you in good working order and that could prevent you from having another call out in the future. We will also check over your rollers and clean them if required, a lot of the time rollers have ink, glue, glitter and paper stuck to them so whilst we have the casing removed we will clean all laminator rollers we can reach to ensure you have a good finish effect from your laminator after the repair e.g. no smudges or marks on your laminated sheets from the rollers.
The below before and after photo shows a laminator we repaired for something unrelated to the rollers but our team cleaned the rollers as we knew this would help the laminators operation and finish hugely.
We won’t sell you a new machine when it’s viable and cost-effective to repair your current machine:
We sell very reliable laminators and so a lot of the time it is suitable for a customer to repair their machine rather than purchase a new one. Even if you didn’t purchase your laminator from us, our team will tell you if it is more cost-effective to repair or buy a new machine.
One of our recent laminator repairs was two new rollers, you can see the before and after in these photo’s below. They own a great laminator and it was better for them to repair than buy new as it still was in good working order except for the rollers.
Machine Testing:
Before we leave a customers premises or send back a machine, we will always run tests to ensure it is in good working order.
Laminators have tester sheets and pouches run through, shredders have paper shredded and the cut-off switches tested, fastbacks have notepads bound as testers and for guillotine’s we run checks by cutting stacks of paper and testing front guards and safety catches. We always check our guillotine’s are cutting across the entire length of the blade and all the way through the bottom piece of paper. The photo below shows a recent guillotine health and safety check, service and blade change and the guillotine operating in full working order before we left.
